About Cameron Woods Maine Coons |
Cameron Woods Maine Coons is a small family cattery located in the beautiful foothills of El Dorado County in Northern California. Our goal is to raise 2 to 4 litters per year of healthy well-socialized Maine Coon kittens. Our kittens are raised underfoot in the family home and handled from the day they are born. We think this ensures they will be comfortable being handled whether it be in the family home or in the show ring. Our breeding females have tested negative for HCM, FELV, and FIV. At this time we do not have appropriate stud quarters for a male, but use stud services only from breeders whose cats also test negative for these diseases.
We are new breeders working with Geree Martin of Tabbypatch and Sherrie and Devid Ceja of Black Tye as our mentors. Under their guidance and supervision we anticipate continuing the excellent lines established by both those fine catteries.
Our current breeding females are Champion Black Tye Baby Sue of Cameronwoods, a brown mackerel tabby with high white and Grand Champion Tabbypatch Goldust of Cameronwoods, a brown patch tabby and white.
Baby Sue was born to Champion Black Tye's Cruiser of Kittikop and Champion Black Tye's Susie Q in January, 2007. She is a small well-balanced girl with huge ears and a lovely plume of a tail. Her coat is a lovely brown mackerel with warm brown highlights. She has a very sweet mild disposition and gets along well with all the cats in the cattery.
Grand Champion Tabbypatch Goldust is the off-spring of Grand Champion, Regional Winner Tabbypatch City Slicker, and Champion Tabbypatch Roja Caliente and was born September, 2007. She has a wide square muzzle, a clean profile, and a strong chin. Her ears are large, well-placed, and tufted with long lynx tips. She has beautiful brown and red coloring with lovely tabby markings. She is a sweet fun loving cat with a loud purr motor which is always turned on.
